But with most things, there are often hidden costs. We have costs of maintaining our website each year, our ICO licence for data handling and occasionally PR materials. 

We are also having other ideas but most ideas have some costs. For example one idea to optimise the public toilet menstrual baskets by putting in reusable items for people to see and choose from. Raising awareness on an issue which is important to supporting menstruating people’s bank accounts, health and carbon footprint! So any extra money could go towards exciting new projects in the near future. 

Between our volunteers, they probably spend 3-4 hours a day moderating facebook groups, meetings (with councils, the constitution etc), social media posts, website developments etc. 

All we ask is that anyone who has benefitted from Eco Essex to donate £1 (you are welcome to donate more of course, but we are only asking for £1 each as we know times are hard).
